& Submissions
The Subtle Technologies
Festival welcomes submissions of programming ideas from curators and organizations
who would like to contribute to the festival. These ideas could be for gallery
shows, performances, screenings and events relevant to the festivals themes.
We encourage anyone interested
in making a submission, to attend Subtle Technologies 2003, or review our archives
to get a sense of the topics we have covered in the past. Although we are not
limited to these topics it will give you a sense of the festival’s interests.
To have your programming
suggestions, curatorial statements etc. considered for next year’s festival,
we require submissions by June 15th 2003. Your submission should
include a short curatorial statement, a preliminary list of content and your C.V.
(max. 3 pages).
If you are a presenter
wishing to make a submission for presentation at our symposium (lecture
component of the festival), the official deadline is December 15th. However, we
would be interested in hearing from you at anytime, to add you to our database
of possible presenters.
Although our festival occurs every
year towards the end of May, we entertain collaborations in events which take
place throughout the year.
Please contact Jim Ruxton
cinetron@passport.ca or Tania Thompson
subtletechnologies@sympatico.ca
at any time to discuss any issues related to submissions.
