- Biography
YEAR
ZERO ONE is an on-line artist run centre which operates as
a network for the dissemination of digital culture and new
media through net.art exhibitions, an extensive media arts
directory and bulletin and the YEAR01 Forum - an electronic
art journal. Founded in 1996, YEAR ZERO ONE is an non-profit
organisation which exists through the efforts of the collective
and volunteers. Support

Michael
Alstad
Michael Alstad is a Toronto based artist, curator and graphic
designer. Michael is co-founder of YEAR ZERO ONE and the SYMBIOSIS
COLLECTIVE -a group of multidisciplinary artists whose 4 site
specific occupations took place in vacant buildings in Toronto
from 1992 - 1997. Michael's work has been featured in exhibitions
and fesivals in Toronto, Vancouver, New York City, London
UK, Sao Paulo, Brazil and Graz, Austria.
Camille
Turner
Camille Turner is a multi disciplinary artist working
in interactive media installation and fibre art. An active
member of the programming committee at InterAccess Media Art
Centre, she is one of the founding members of Year Zero One,
a Canadian on-line artist run centre operating as a network
for the dissemination of digital culture. She has curated
net.art shows and organized various arts related events and
has served on selection committees and juries for several
arts organizations including: Canada Council, Canadian Film
Centre and Black Film and Video Network. As a presenter, Camille
has participated in conferences such as: Museums on the Web,
Galleries OnLine and Desh Pardesh's Communautes Virtuelles.
She has just completed two years as an artist in residence
in the textile studio at Harbourfront Centre, an art and culture
complex in Toronto.
