Josef Penninger - Biography

Josef has been an Associate Professor in the Departments of Immunology and Medical Biophysics, with the University of Toronto since 1999. He is also principle investigator with the Amgen Institute. Josef has received numerous awards including "The William E. Rawls Prize" (for outstanding contribution to cancer research) from the National Cancer Institute of Canada. In 2002 he has been named one of Canada's top 20 scientists by the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research.
